This week we continue the green theme by looking at another superhero flick; The Green Hornet. (Hmm, I guess you could include comic and hero in the continuing themes column too.) I should probably confess, I have no idea what the Green Hornet is about, aside from what I saw in the film. So everything I say could change the character entirely from how it was originally envisioned by the creators. But I suppose that’s why I try and fix these things (that and the inflated sense of ego I get).

I should probably confess, I have no idea what the Green Hornet is about, aside from what I saw in the film. So everything I say could change the character entirely from how it was originally envisioned by the creators. But I suppose that’s why I try and fix these things (that and the inflated sense of ego I get). By Graham Osborne Well the hint I gave at the end of my review wasn’t that subtle I suppose. Yes, the next film I shall attempt to fix will be Green Lantern. I think we can all agree that whatever I write here, I can’t make it any worse, at least going by my new Green Lantern Oath, “In Brightest Day, in Blackest Night. My god that film was utter shite”, I can’t. (Beware, HEAVY geekiness beyond!) By Graham Osborne Films; it seems like everyone has an opinion on how to do them better than those jumped up filmmakers with their multi-million dollar budgets, fancy computer graphics and incredibly attractive actors swanning around. To be honest I’m no different, well except that I have a degree in film making, so I feel slightly more validated than those punks with their blog posts when I say that I can fix this sort of thing. So to kick off a new regular feature round these parts, the first film I will attempt to fix will be Captain America: The First Avenger. So, without further ado, let’s see how to make this better… |
